In May 2026, Bulgaria will become the center of attention for the global cycling community as the legendary Giro d’Italia 2026 will start on our soil! For the first time in its more than 100-year history, the race’s opening stages will take place in Bulgaria, with the first three stages scheduled between May 8 and 10. The second stage, on May 9, will finish in Veliko Tarnovo following an impressive route from Burgas, featuring the challenging climb to Lyaskovets Monastery. The event is expected to attract global attention, thousands of visitors, and international media, making it an excellent opportunity for tourism and business development in the region.
